Overview :
Horan Hiring Solutions is seeking a skilled Brake Press Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating press brakes, reading blueprints, and following safety protocols.
This position is crucial in producing high-quality metal components for various industries.
Responsibilities :
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form metal sheets according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and other technical documents to determine bending requirements.
- Select and install appropriate tooling for various bending operations.
- Adjust machine settings and controls to achieve desired bend angles and tolerances.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure product quality.
- Inspect finished parts for defects and conformance to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance on press brake equipment.
- Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals.
Qualifications :
- Previous experience as a brake press operator in a job shop environment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
- Knowledge of metal properties and bending techniques.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
- Ability to lift heavy materials.
- Strong work ethic and team player attitude.
