We are seeking skilled and experienced Commercial HVAC Pipefitters and Helpers to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems for heating, cooling, and other services.
As a Pipefitter or Helper at Jennings Mechanical, you will work on various projects, ensuring that all piping systems are installed correctly, safely, and according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities :
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to determine the layout and installation of piping systems.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to required angles, using hand and power tools.
- Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment according to specifications.
- Test piping systems for leaks and other issues, making necessary repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with other trades to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company safety standards.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Qualifications :
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter or Helper in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of commercial HVAC piping systems and their components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces and at heights.
- Certification or apprenticeship in pipefitting is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding conditions.
