We are looking for a General Manager to join our Team. In this role you will be responsible for providing overall leadership for all aspects of an assigned facility to include warehousing, transportation, finance, and administration.

You will also play a key role with sales and marketing in evaluating new business opportunities to determine the appropriate support costs and resources to grow new revenue streams.

Our Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors’ degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or related field required; M.B.A. preferred.
  • Five years of related experience required.
  • Experience with having P&L responsibility, owning, and managing budgets and ability to create and maintain various management reports.
  • Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license and the ability to obtain and maintain auto-liability insurance in accordance with state laws.

Our Preferred Qualifications

  • Seven years of experience in wholesale or operational management or other related industries.
  • Excellent managerial and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Six Sigma certification.
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite and / or software applications related to job functions.
  • Planning and organizational skills necessary to coordinate workload around multiple assignments.
  • Demonstrated success managing high volumes in a time sensitive manner.
  • Ability to motivate, lead, and mentor others.

Your Responsibilities

  • Prepare and control the operating budget for the assigned facility along with capital expenditure requirements.
  • Own the P&L for the assigned facility; be accountable for variances to plan.
  • Oversee all administrative and financial functions for assigned facility.
  • Oversee control flow of both paperwork and cash to ensure proper separation of responsibilities for internal control.
  • Execute compliance standards with Federal, State, and local regulations governing the warehouse and transportation departments by monitoring implementation and practice to ensure compliance.
  • Manage and measure work, process and metrics including safety, quality, and productivity through reporting, field visits and customer feedback.
  • Responsible for total inventory management by ensuring the compliance of receiving and inventory control procedures; develop / recommend alterations to procedures and best practices as warranted.
  • Develop and implement departmental and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output.
  • Manage maintenance of equipment, machinery, and transportation assets.
  • Build, maintain and nurture strong and productive business relationships among the supplier community and in accordance with all Regional On and Off-Premise customers / accounts in an effort to ensure satisfaction level is high and desired results are being accomplished.
  • Enhance understanding of supplier brands through attending and contributing to planning meetings, fiscal reviews, on-site tours, and special industry related events / functions.
  • Direct sales product execution; develop and maintain appropriate shelf placement, price point, and merchandising activity.
  • Develop sales revenue forecasts and budgets establishing elevated levels of quality, accuracy, and consistency during the process;

ensure alignment with the planning processes within Glazer’s Beer and Beverage by coordinating with finance to align with business unit and division forecasts.

  • Analyze sales data and recommend policy developments to enhance sales figures and foster goal attainment.
  • Strategically support managers with conflict resolution, removal of performance obstacles, and relationship concerns between internal departments.
  • Create scale able programs to reach, attract, support, and develop talent; ensure policies empower people to achieve career and personal goals;

encourage and recognize associates.

  • Develop, implement, and oversee programs and policies to provide and support ongoing learning.
  • Launch creative initiatives to reach and attract diverse talent; build partnerships with external organizations devoted to supporting diverse talent;

ensure programs, policies, and culture support diverse talent.

Develop meaningful ways to engage people, build community, share values and culture, improve quality of life, and promote health and wellness;

ensure benefits, rewards, programs, activities, events; find solutions to address gaps.

Performs other related duties as required.

Physical Requirements :

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to access and navigate the production facility.
  • Must be able to lift fifteen pounds at a time.
