What You'll Do :
Job Overview- If you're someone who's passionate about environmental health and sustainability, then the role of overseeing the operations of wastewater systems, bio-gas systems, and cogeneration (COGEN) systems at the Fresno Anaerobic Treatment System (FATS) facility might be the perfect fit for you! As a part of this team, you'll be responsible for conducting daily inspections to ensure that the site is compliant with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations, adhering to good manufacturing practices (GMP), and optimizing the performance of FATS equipment and processes.
Job Responsibilities-
- Monitor and maintain electronic control and flow monitoring devices to ensure that the wastewater system is functioning properly.
- Adjust wastewater flows and operate pumps to transfer wastewater as needed, managing influent and effluent wastewater streaming.
- Efficiently operate FATS systems, including pumps, valves, HMI, controls, bio-gas compressors, Thiopaq, and other wastewater and bio-gas regulating controls and equipment.
- Collect water samples and conduct laboratory tests to ensure the water meets all state and Federal standards.
- Perform maintenance activities and coordinate support to ensure the optimized operation of the wastewater plant.
- Maintain daily operations logs and support World Class Maintenance initiatives, including Operator Care and Gallo Production System (GPS).
What You Will Need :
- High school diploma or State-issue equivalency certificate.
- Required to have 1 year of full-time experience as an Operator in Training (OIT) at a government or privately operated wastewater facility;
OR, 1 year full-time experience at the Gallo Wastewater facility as an Operator in Training (OIT); OR, 1 year of full-time experience collecting and monitoring data such as pH, alkalinity, conductivity, temperature, (COD) chemical oxygen demand, (BOD) biochemical oxygen demand, (TSS) Total Suspended Solids, in an industrial, manufacturing oragricultural environment.
- Required to work with caustic chemicals to execute some job functions.
- Required to work day, swing or graveyard shifts.
- Required to carry, lift, or move up to 50 pounds.
- Required to climb and work at elevated heights of forty (40) feet.
- Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
- Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
- Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and / or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Compensation :
- Hiring Salary Range Posted : $26.54 - $35.87 / hour.
- Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
