Interim Controller - Hybrid

Our Vaco team is partnering with a central KY based manufacturing client on an interim Controller opportunity. This person must be local to greater Nashville and / or Central KY as this requires someone to be on-site a minimum of 2 days / wk.

As a Controller, you will serve as a financial leader for our client. This involves handling a variety of general to complex accounting functions, providing analytical support, and supervising staff.

If you enjoy leading a team, developing processes, and managing the monthly close process, and demonstrated ability with technical accounting, we have a strong match for you.

Must be willing to be on-site in Bowling Green, KY 2x / week.

Qualifications :

• Must be local to greater Bowling Green and / or Nashville, TN region
• Proven experience supporting a public company, otherwise public accounting experience is a MUST
• Adept with managing the monthly close function, consolidations, and various technical accounting initiatives (to include SOX, and some SEC reporting support)
• Track record of leading larger teams (10+)
• High attention to detail, with ability to document workflows and make recommendations when necessary
