Medical Technician - Asheville - Up to $18.00 / hr.
PrideStaff is recruiting for a Medical Technician for the Weekend / Afternoon Shift for a non-profit organization located in Asheville .
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Accurately and safely prepare, administer and document the medications that are commonly used in this facility and that may be ordered for students.
- Ensure no medication is administered without an order from a licensed provider.
- Accurately document and contact medical provider, guardian and nurse manager if there are any medication errors or refusals.
- Ensures the obtainment of orders, administration of medication to clients and the completion of thorough and accurate medication documentation to ensure compliance with all licensure and accreditation requirements.
- Review orders for accuracy in the company's database and weekly medication rolls.
- Document completed task in the company's database, nightly email and daily nursing report.
- Monitor the student's physical and emotional needs, document and respond appropriately.
- Obtain vital signs and complete any documentation required for students.
- Arrange appointments with outside providers, complete all documentation and schedule transportation with residential staff for students.
- File and audit charts consistently
Qualifications and Requirements :
- Minimum of two (2) working in a medical / patient care setting
- Obtain and maintain Medication Technician certification.
- Have current and active CPR certificate.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
Hours of Work : Sat & Sun - 7 : 30 am to 8 : 00 pm, Tues & Fri - 2 : 00 pm to 8 : 00 pm
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $16.00 - $18.00 Per Hour
