Ontic is a leading global aerospace OEM trusted by the world’s aviation leaders. Specializing in precision engineering, MRO, and new solutions for parts at risk of obsolescence, Ontic has over 1,500 customers in the commercial, civil and defense aerospace markets.

With over 1,300 employees across four time zones and seven sites, we have more than doubled in size since 2019 and are continuing to grow at pace.

Our team is looking for a Business Unit Leader to join them. You will report to the Senior Business Unit Director and will have an onsite work structure in Chatsworth, CA.

Minimum Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics or a relevant field; MBA preferred
• Aerospace industry experience preferred
• Self-motivation with a highly relational skill set and ability to work well across functional lines

As a Business Unit Leader you will :

• Work closely with all functional areas of the business such as Estimating, Customer Service, Contracts, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering and Quality
• Be accountable for achieving the business unit revenue, profit and organic growth
• Bring a strong entrepreneurial mindset to the role, with a solid focus on growing the business in a profitable manner
• Propose and maintain a clear medium and long term growth strategy (revenue & profitability) for the business unit
• Play an active role in the safety culture
• Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the aviation industry and how various components of the industry fit together successfully
• Possess general knowledge of manufacturing processes, estimating, procurement, and quality
• Possess the operational experience and knowledge required to quickly identify and analyze opportunities and how they might benefit the company
• General knowledge of AS9100
• Apply sound commercial and financial experience
• Demonstrate personal and business integrity fulfilling our Company values at all times
• Effective written and verbal communication to create professional communications at executive level.
• Develop, demonstrate and maintain excellent executive leadership skills with all appropriate levels within and outside the company
• Possess sound judgment and able to make decisions and recommendations based on complex and commercially sensitive data
• Possess the necessary confidence and personal skills to establish and build successful business and customer relationships with key stakeholders
• Work in a dynamic, ever-changing industry with the ability to prioritize and plan work effectively
• Apply necessary attention to detail and a thorough and pragmatic approach to problem solving

Salary Range :

$120,000-150,000 / year, based on experience

This position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
