Sentara is hiring an Inpatient Clinical Pharmacist at Sentara Obici Hospital!

Status : Full Time (40 hours)

Hours : Rotating Days and Evenings (6a-11p)

Shift : 8.5 hours

Weekend : Every 3rd Weekend

Rotating Holidays

Required qualifications :

Virginia Pharmacist license

BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree in Pharmacy

Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) REQUIRED within 6 months of hire

Preferred qualifications :

Prior hospital experience strongly preferred

Experience working in ICU

Will consider new graduated pharmacists and pharmacists not licensed in Virginia / NC due to relocation. Must have Virginia license within 90 days of Sentara start date.

Job responsibilities :

Manages patient drug therapy in accordance with the medical staff approved clinical practice standards

Maintains current knowledge of drug use through continuing education

Serves as the primary resource for drug information within the hospital

Assures the appropriateness of all physician medication orders

Precepts pharmacy students as assigned.

Qualifications :

BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree : Pharmacy (Required)

Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, Pharmacist License (RPh) - State license - North Carolina Board of Pharmacy (NCBOP), Pharmacist License (RPh) - State license - Other / National, Pharmacist License (RPh) - State license - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP)
