Are you an experienced, detail-oriented professional with a talent for managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and optimizing supply chains?
If so, our client wants you to join their team as a Senior Buyer ! This is your chance to make a direct impact on our company’s success while thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
What You’ll Be Doing :
- Vendor Management : Build and nurture strong relationships with external vendors. Lead price negotiations, terms, and conditions to ensure optimal purchasing outcomes.
- Order Oversight : Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, ensuring material and equipment needs are met on time and within budget.
Leverage ERP systems to assess current and future material availability.
- Supply Chain Optimization : Spearhead initiatives focused on reducing lead times, improving supplier performance, cutting material costs, securing better payment terms, and driving timely, high-quality deliveries.
- Contract Management : Review and manage purchase orders, claims, and contracts to ensure compliance with company policies.
Assist in shaping the procurement strategy through process improvements and effective contract management.
- Problem-Solving & Negotiation : Resolve vendor issues, claims, and disputes efficiently while representing the company’s best interests in all negotiations.
- Inventory & Production Support : Monitor and maintain inventory levels to align with production schedules and financial targets.
Advise and collaborate with departments and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
What We’re Looking For :
- Education : Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, or a recognized Purchasing Certification. Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
- Experience : 3-5 years of procurement experience, particularly in purchasing electronic components. Experience in aerospace or automotive manufacturing is highly desirable!
Skills / Experience We're Looking For :
- Proficient in ERP / MRP systems
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel for data analysis
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a collaborative team environment
- Reliability : Consistent attendance and a strong commitment to meeting deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
