Job Description :
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Controller with strong financial acumen and an entrepreneurial desire willing to assume a critical leadership role and engage with the entire company.
The ideal candidate will have an opportunity to build a team and systems that take our company to the next level.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
- CPA required. MBA preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, operational accounting, and financial reporting.
- High degree of comfort and familiarity with general ledger, financial reporting, and other accounting systems.
- 8+ years of relevant experience within a manufacturing setting.
- Microsoft Dynamics, Paylocity experience desired.
- Advanced MS Excel skills required.
- Experience with Business Intelligence and / or relational databases.
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting.
- Experience with 401k and profit-sharing processing desired.
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Ensures integrity of financial records by maintaining internal controls in compliance with GAAP.
- Leads month-end close process.
- Prepares and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing insights into the company's performance and trends.
- Oversees timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
- Leads budgeting and forecasting processes. Ensures alignment of departments and strategic goals.
- Cash management with daily cash balance monitoring.
- Monitors company project costs and profitability.
- Oversees inventory processes including valuation, reconciliation, and physical inventory counts.
- Proactively initiates various projects to increase the efficiency and profitability of the business.
- Calculates and pays sales taxes for multiple states.
- Leads and supports external audits and reviews.
- Prepares ROI to support various business cases and capital investments.
- Manages institutional investment funds.
- Processes government request for data (US Census, EEOC).
- Identifies opportunities to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.
