Job Opening : Temp-to-Hire Collections Attorney Cleveland Law Firm
LHH is currently recruiting a skilled Collections Attorney to join a reputable Cleveland law firm on a temp-to-hire basis.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a legal professional with a strong background in collections and real estate law to contribute to a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review all conditions precedent to the filing of actions, including documents, financials, notices, and demand letters.
- Draft and review correspondence and pleadings to initiate legal actions.
- Update internal databases with recommendations, next steps, and essential documentation.
- Monitor case progress and develop strategies to resolve files effectively and efficiently.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including those related to collection proceedings.
- Analyze legal and factual issues in complex real estate matters.
- Represent clients in various court proceedings, including mediation, status conferences, and motion hearings.
- Advise clients on laws related to a broad range of relevant matters.
- Handle litigation cases from initiation to completion.
Qualifications :
- Licensed and in good standing with the Ohio State Bar for at least 1 year.
- 3-5 years of experience in collections law.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to build rapport with clients and effectively manage relationships.
- Capable of handling a large workload with minimal supervision.
Salary $37-$47 / hr plus benefits
