Job Summary : Uses AutoCAD software to produce complete and accurate redline drawings. Provides support to designers in the process of control panel design, P&IDs, mechanical installation, electrical loop drawings, panel risers, and project as-built documents as well as other entry level drafting tasks.

Takes direction and seeks guidance from senior designers.Education and Experience : Associate degree in drafting, or other pertinent curriculum combined with relevant technical experience.

Typically, 15+ years of experience.Proven Track Record : 5+ years as Control Systems Designer II or equivalent.Duties and Responsibilities : Technical Responsibilities : Exhibit expert proficiency in the use of Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) tools.

Demonstrate the ability to develop control system drawing packages under the direction of lead design engineers.Proficient in developing drawings in control panel design, P&IDs, mechanical installation, panel riser, and point-to-point loop drawings.

Demonstrate the ability to assist the Sales Team to develop system drawings in support of technical proposals.Demonstrate the ability to assist the Quality Team in preparation of QMS documents and drawings as required.

Assist in the development of drawing templates and standards that will be used by the rest of the staff.Demonstrate the ability to support engineers in researching instrument part numbers, technical specifications, and wiring details.

Demonstrate the ability to proof-read the design team’s documentation.Exhibit proficiency in Microsoft operating systems and Office tools.

Customer Service : Communicate in an effective, positive, and proactive manner with customers.Complete assigned tasks accurately, on schedule, and under budget.

Understand the scope of work assigned to you, identify when issues arise that are beyond that scope, and communicate those issues to the assigned project lead.

Continuously provide input and direction on how to increase efficiencies related to the generation of control system design packages.
