Job Title : Project Engineer

Job Description

Position requires ability to convert concepts into key deliverables to meet specific project objectives and fulfill production needs.

Typical project work will include vendor management / supervision, contractor management / supervision, schedule management, installation execution, commissioning, and post-commissioning support.

This role will interact with and receive inputs from other technical groups in order to develop a full vision of deliverables required to fulfill internal customer needs.

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to :

  • Provide on-site technical direction during equipment rigging, assembly, mechanical piping, and electrical connections.
  • Coordinate installation, maintenance, commissioning site activities in line with project schedule targets and procedures.
  • Basic troubleshooting, installation, maintenance, and repair on designated equipment.
  • Completing field modifications.
  • Able to understand and utilize Engineering Instructions, Drawings, and Process Instructions during the execution of the site activities.
  • Provide input for daily and weekly installation project management.
  • Experience with assembly of equipment and machine installations.
  • Hands-on experience and knowledgeable of manufacturing equipment.

Work Environment

This role will require travel to several different plants to help with new equipment installation projects and machine refurbishing projects.

The current breakdown will be 2-3 days a week onsite at the Fort Wayne plant and 2-3 days working at the Franklin Indiana plant.

This individual will be tied to the CAPEX team which sits out of Fort Wayne, but supports all facilities.
