Overview : Grubbs, Hoskyn, Barton & Wyatt, LLC, a Universal Engineering Sciences (UES) Company, has an opening in our Construction Services Department.
UES is a nationwide leader in Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing and Inspection, Building Code Compliance, Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety, and Building Envelope.
To perform routine concrete and soil laboratory testing at the request of the Laboratory Supervisor / Manager. The possibility of data reduction and boring log preparation exists for those with computer skills and the aptitude for data reduction.
Job Responsibilities :
- Performs soil, aggregate, asphalt and concrete testing.
- Maintains laboratory equipment and laboratory space in neat order.
- Assists in logging, storage and disposal of samples.
- Performs other duties as requested.
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma
- Good oral and written communication skills, including good technical writing capabilities
- Ability to effectively use computers
- Ability to use initiative and work independently within the limitations of experience
- Knowledge of various exploratory and laboratory techniques
- Required to stand for long periods of time
