DSA is seeking a highly qualified Senior Energy Manager to join our team in Huntsville, AL
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of years of experience in energy management or related field, preferably in a utility or government setting.
- Strong understanding of utility billing structures and energy cost optimization strategies.
- Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
- Familiarity with metering protocols and data collection methodologies.
- Experience with reporting tools and software.
- Knowledge of Energy Star portfolio management.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience managing programs in a Federal Department of Defense environment.
- Proven ability to coordinate and collaborate with diverse teams.
- Understanding of security clearance processes and requirements.
- Knowledge of Meter Data Management and related principles.
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in Energy Management (CEM), Energy Auditor (CEA), or related field is a plus
- Experience working with the US Army Corps of Engineers or similar federal agencies.
- Familiarity with federal security protocols and compliance.
- Familiarity with federal DOD Energy Policy and Principles.
- Understanding of AVEVA OSI PI Software.
- Knowledge and experience with Data Warehouses, Data Analytics and Data Science.
- Understanding of Utility tariff structures for billing.
- Knowledge and experience with DoD / Army Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the operation, sustainment, and maintenance of the centralized metering program to ensure dependable meter data delivery.
- Utilize industry standards to normalize data and establish facility energy consumption relative to other facilities.
- Provide tools in an easy-to-use interface for facility and energy program managers to identify and confirm opportunities for energy reduction.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, policies, executive orders, regulations, instructions, and guidance.
- Continuously optimize system capabilities and technologies to support energy reduction goals.
- Implement system engineering techniques to reduce system sustainment cost and complexity.
- Analyze utility billing structures and develop strategies to optimize energy costs.
- Manage and interpret various data sets and structures related to energy consumption.
- Implement metering protocols and ensure accurate data collection.
- Generate and present reports on energy consumption and cost reduction initiatives.
- Maintain and enhance the Energy Star portfolio.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement energy efficiency measures.
