The Administrative Assistant is part of the Software Development Department in MWG-Corporate and reports to the Senior Project Manager.

This position is an non-exempt, hourly role, located at

500 Steed Road, Ridgeland MS 39157.

GENERAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

The Administrative Assistant works with the Senior Project Manager within the Software Development Department to assist with various administrative, clerical, and executive-level tasks.

The Administrative Assistant will provide support to the department and help facilitate communication and workflow with the department.

  • Reviews emails and handles correspondence on behalf of the department.
  • Prepares agendas and presentations.
  • Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Prepare cubicle with supplies for new hires.
  • Assist in planning departmental events and provide administrative support to the Senior Project Manager and Vice President of Software Development .
  • Interact and share with the Communications department for newsletter and events.
  • Calendar anniversary or evaluation dates to ensure that management completes annual reviews for employees
  • Assists in creating how-to documentation for new and existing processes.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Senior Project Manager and Vice President of Software Development

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :

  • High School Diploma Required, Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Prior administrative or executive-level assistant experience
  • Must possess time management, organizational, problem solving, and customer service skills.
  • Must be proficient in computer skills and have strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook,

Windows, Excel, and Word.

Must have experience with various communication platforms as this role requires utilizing multiple platforms for delivering information effectively such as GoToMeeting, Recordings, Microsoft Teams, One Note Notation, How-To Guides, etc.

JOB ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Spanish is a plus.
  • Must be able to work as scheduled.
  • Must possess sight and hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of the position as stated above can be fully met.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, reach, and sit or stand at a desk during 85 % of the working day.
  • Must be able to lift, stoop, and carry small equipment items and supplies weighing up to 20lbs.
