Job Description
Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in the search for a junior accountant for one of our clients. The Junior Accountant will be responsible for the maintenance of financial records and ensuring accuracy.
This Junior Accountant will be working % onsite and on a contract basis. Qualified candidates will be considered immediately and begin the interview process.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded
- Help ensure the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts
- Prepare account reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
- Compiles financial data to aid more senior accountants in the preparation of balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and other financial reports
- Help prepare journal entries
- Assist in P&L account analysis
- Assist in preparing audit schedules and confirmation at year-end close
- Assist with tax audits
- Assist in ad hoc projects as needed
Qualifications :
- Understanding of accounting principles
- High attention to detail and a team player
- Basic Excel skills
- Degree preferred, but not required
