Responsibilities :
- Working with the supervisor or manager, reviews production schedules, prioritizes items per the scheduled completion and / or delivery date by providing status on open work orders.
- Coordinates materials and assigns tasks to team members and gives them specific directions and procedures to follow in carrying out assigned tasks, while monitoring team members to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Provides leadership for the team involved in inspection, guiding them to ensure efficiency and quality, as well as providing department goals and performance indicators.
- Exhibits great leadership skills by showcasing knowledge and skills to team members, giving them direction on how to execute tasks, and stepping in to demonstrate practical ways to tackle difficult tasks.
- Recognizes the contributions of every team member and encourages teamwork and good relationships in executing production tasks.
- Places high importance on team safety, educating members on safety procedures and ensuring the manufacturing site is safe for work.
- Works with Quality Engineering, Quality Technicians, and Engineering to provide feedback on Proto and NPI builds and to identify root causes for corrective actions.
- Creates work schedules and ensures adherence, taking attendance to monitor regularity and promptness.
- Acts as a liaison between workers and management to foster healthy communication.
- Ensures that necessary work materials, tools, and documentation are available when needed.
- Responsible for training inspectors in collaboration with the training department.
- Responsible for 6S procedure (FAC-005G) and format for their areas.
- Fully understands how all products are to be inspected based on engineering and quality specifications.
- Has a full understanding of IEC systems used during inspection.
- Has strong knowledge of metrics used in their areas and how to display them visually.
- Reports results of the processing flow on shift production reports for daily shift pass downs.
- Gathers quality data to support areas of concern for inspectors.
- Assists with inspection product as needed per industry standards.
- Supports continual improvement activities as needed.
- Performs internal audits (product and / or system).
- Identifies training needs and highlights them to senior leadership.
Administration :
- Complies with the company’s accredited certifications and safety policy.
- Maintains broad knowledge of IEC policies and general Quality knowledge to ensure familiarity with various product types and customer requirements.
- Monitors defect trends for assigned lines.
- Ensures on-time shipments.

Position Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications : Associate degree preferred; High School diploma or equivalent; 2-3 years experience in a similar role, or a combination of education and experience.
