Job Description

HII Mission Technologies Division is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in support of a large Operations and Maintenance Contract within Mission Technologies.

Positions will be based at global Army training sites around the world. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for supporting the integration of mechanical systems within network environments, identifying and rectifying mechanical issues that affect software performance, maintaining operational capabilities of TADSS by addressing physical defects and ensuring IA compliance, aiding in regression testing to validate the functionality of hardware following software updates, and setting up and maintaining lab equipment for software development.
• In addition, the role entails performing engineering analysis for life-cycle cost reduction and technology refreshment, assessing and fabricating components to restore functionality to TADSS, installing modification kits and conducting function checks, as well as reverse engineering parts to guarantee TADSS sustainability.
• Mechanical Engineer will create and update maintenance instructions for TADSS, ensuring alignment with mechanical best practices.

Minimum Qualifications

5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field.

Physical Requirements

May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
