Electrical Engineer (Infrastructure)
Key Identifiers for the positionExtensive experience with the planning, design, procurement, construction, and activation of major capital programs, preferably at major transportation hubs (such as airports)Extensive experience with stakeholder engagement, preferably with electrical utility providers (such as LADWP) and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (such as LADBS)Extensive experience with large utilities & infrastructure programs (including electrical generation, transmission, distribution, and customer services), preferably in the Los Angeles area.
Ability to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication skills in a collaborative settingEssential Job DutiesCoordinate closely with AIRPORT and LADWP personnel to plan, design, construct, monitor, maintain, and manage the electrical infrastructure at LAX.
Evaluate the historical & current electrical demands at LAX, and forecast future needs & demands.Provide technical reviews of design & construction documents, requests for information (RFI), change requests, and other technical documents from designers, contractors, and project managers.
Participate in coordination-meetings with staff and executive leadership from AIRPORT and LADWPDevelop high-quality technical reports to advise & assist AIRPORT with the use of innovative technologies to enhance the resiliency, sustainability, and efficiency of our electrical systemsWork alongside a multi-disciplined team of planners, architects, engineers, construction managers, business managers, and other professionals in a collaborative environmentDevelop tools, templates, and standards to innovate and improve our processesDesired Qualifications & Experience Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and / or related field (Master’s Preferred)20+ Years of Professional Experience, preferably on large electrical infrastructure programs with direct involvement from LADWP
