Key Responsibilities : Needs Assessment and Solution Design : Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements, objectives, and constraints for AV system projects.
Conduct site surveys and assessments to evaluate existing infrastructure and environmental factors.Design customized AV solutions that meet client specifications, budgetary constraints, and industry standards.
System Architecture and Integration : Develop detailed system architecture and engineering drawings, including schematics, layouts, and wiring diagrams.
Select and specify AV equipment, components, and technologies based on project requirements and performance criteria.Coordinate with vendors and manufacturers to source and procure AV hardware and software components.
Technical Documentation and Specifications : Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including project specifications, equipment lists, and installation guidelines.
Create detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) and wiring schedules for use by installation teams and contractors.Review and approve submittals, shop drawings, and other project documentation as needed.
Quality Assurance and Testing : Conduct thorough testing and verification of AV systems to ensure proper functionality, performance, and reliability.
Troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with installation teams to resolve any system defects or deficiencies. Client Engagement and Support : Present design concepts, proposals, and recommendations to clients in a clear and compelling manner.
Provide technical support and guidance to clients throughout the project lifecycle, addressing questions, concerns, and change requests as needed.
Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.5+ years of experience in AV system design, integration, and installation.
Proficiency in AV design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Visio) and familiarity with industry-standard AV equipment and technologies.
Strong understanding of audiovisual principles, signal processing, and digital media formats.Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
CTS certification or other relevant industry certifications preferred.
