Position Overview :
As the Vice President of Sales, you will play a critical role in driving the company's growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities.
You will be responsible for selling our client's asset-based trucking services, with a specific focus on acquiring new sales and brokerage accounts.
This role requires a hunter mentality, as well as a proven track record of success in sales.
The position is 100% remote , with the expectation of traveling out of state for at least two weeks each month to meet with clients and prospects.
You will be an independent contributor while also collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution.
Responsibilities :
- Engage with customers to address their evolving needs and assess the effectiveness of the company’s relationship with them.
- Record customer interactions and maintain comprehensive data on activities, accounts, and business units.
- Propose enhancements to services and products to boost sales opportunities and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure the successful implementation of cross-selling strategies across the service portfolio.
- Develop plans to meet both individual and team targets, ensuring alignment with the company's strategies and policies.
- Create and review both long-term and short-term target lists.
- Stay updated with industry knowledge by reviewing professional publications, joining relevant associations, and building a network of industry contacts.
- Stay informed about economic trends, market shifts, supply and demand dynamics, and competitor activities to sustain sales performance and optimize product offerings.
Qualifications :
- 4+ years of outside sales experience in logistics.
- Must have experience selling 3PL and Asset-based solutions.
- Experience with cross-border freight into Mexico is a plus.
- Ability to travel 75% of the month.
