CNC Programmer / Setup Operator

Location : Roanoke, VA Job Type : Full-time

Job Summary : We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join a major manufacturer here in Roanoke. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CNC programming and machine operation, with a focus on precision and efficiency.

This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and contribute to our company's success.

Shift Options :

5 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM (Monday-Thursday)

3 : 00 PM - 12 : 30 AM (Monday-Thursday)

Competitive salary (24.50 / hour for first shift, 25.50 / hour for second shift)

Responsibilities :

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to set up CNC machines.

Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify part designs.

Develop and write CNC programs using industry-standard software to control lathe and mill machines.

Coordinate with the purchasing manager to ensure timely procurement of raw materials and supplies.

Implement and maintain a routine machine maintenance checklist to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.

Conduct quality control inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products meet specifications.

Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Train new staff members on proper CNC machine operation and programming techniques.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in CNC programming preferred.

Minimum 5 years of experience as a CNC Programmer or Setup Operator.

Proficiency in CAM software, CAD software.

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Pay Details : 26.00 to 32.00 per hour
