Sales Development Representative
The Sales Development Representative is responsible for driving new business for Nilfisk products through prospecting, cold-calling, and account management.
Job Description :
The Sales Development Representative’s primary goal will be to drive new business by developing a list of prospects and execute targeted phone, email, and social media campaigns to qualify the leads.
Using a consultative sales approach, develop a solid understanding of the customer’s needs and deliver an initial value proposition of Nilfisk products to generate interest.
You will be responsible for managing the sales cycle from start to finish. You will work across the sales organization to secure and nurture new customer accounts before passing to an account manager.
Additional tasks could also be assigned by the Inside Sales Director and the Sales Leadership Team on an ad hoc basis if it is related to new business development.
This is a virtual position, however, some time in Brooklyn Park, MN or Morgantown, PA may be required for training and team meetings.
Responsibilities :
To develop a high level of competency around our product offerings by attending trainings, through our LMS and our internal and external sales team.
Understand the issues and challenges within our industry in order to support customers
- Meet new business targets by producing revenue through prospecting
- Find new prospects by searching companies and individuals within our industry segment. Create a list of contacts at each company.
- Proactively prospect the identified targets through cold calling, emailing, and social media
- Move the prospects through the sales cycle and recognize where you need to move on
- Responsible for recording all activity within our CRM to ensure all the steps taken are recorded accurately
- Utilize CRM to analyze opportunities and determine where you need to pivot and make adjustments
- Collaborate with sales teams when warranted
Qualifications :
- Proven success with cold calling
- Great communicator who can ask the questions, listen, and spot potential opportunities
- Strong phone skills, ability to develop business relationships and demonstrate products over the phone
- Solid negotiator and closer who can overcome objections and move the opportunity through the sales process
- Results oriented, track record of competing and winning new business
- Self-motivated to work in a virtual environment
Minimum Requirements :
Education : Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
Experience : 1- 2+ years of proven cold calling experience with B2B and / or B2C
Computer Skills :
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Concur and Excel. Able to run and evaluate iCube reports (or similar systems with the ability to learn quickly)
- Proficient in SFDC and Zoominfo
- Capability to learn new software and systems quickly
Travel :
Expected annual travel at 5%
