Position Overview : The Product Training & Development Specialist will use adult learning theories and instructional design methodologies to develop effective curriculums for computer-based and instructor-led learning for the STARLIMS Laboratory Information Management System Unified Solution.
This position requires an experienced training content developer who can research, gather, and synthesize technical information and express it clearly, concisely, and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities : Instructional Design Works with STARLIMS subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop training programs / events by defining requirements to address identified business needs.
Design and develop effective training materials utilizing various content creation tools, including, but not limited to, eLearning, video and photo editing, and presentation creation tools.
Align with the STARLIMS Academy Product Training Specialists on the content creation process. Conduct follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results and identify any additional areas where training is needed.
Implement governance measures to routinely review and update product training materials. LMS Administration : Support and administer the STARLIMS LMS, including customizing the user interface, maintaining user records, organizing and scheduling training, approving and uploading content, building and running reports, and troubleshooting user issues.
Organize, maintain, and manage internal compliance, product, and professional development courses in the STARLIMS LMS. Project Management Determine priorities to meet short-term and long-term objectives and determine what actions require upper management's review and input.
Training Facilitation : Facilitate STARLIMS Application and Setup training as needed. Professional Development : Engage in targeted training to enhance skills in adult learning theories, instructional design methodologies, and content creation tools.
Keep leadership informed of project progress with a formal communication system for upward reporting. Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources Management, or other related business field.
5+ years of direct experience in training function or equivalent, preferably in a regulated laboratory or technical software development environment.
Expertise in eLearning development tools. Strong competency and experience with developing and utilizing Learning Management Systems.
Project management experience, including strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple training initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality training documentation with great attention to detail. Highly developed writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Experience in needs assessment, instructional design, and training facilitation. Demonstrated proficiency in partnering with SMEs to collect and clarify information and organize it into a clear, documented output.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products, including Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Preferred Qualifications : Experience in the software or technology industry.
Experience with Litmos, Docebo, Cornerstone, SAP SuccessFactors, or similar. Experience with Articulate 360, Camtasia, and Adobe Creative Suite products.
