Job Description :
The Lead Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) will play a pivotal role in our residential program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coaching and mentoring direct care workers and overseeing the day-to-day activities of the program reporting directly to the agency's Administrator.
Key Responsibilities :
- Coaching and Mentoring : Provide guidance, support, and training to direct care workers to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
- Client Care Coordination : Oversee the coordination of client care, ensuring that all clients receive the necessary support and services.
- Staff Scheduling : Manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operation of the program.
- Environmental Monitoring : Monitor and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for clients and staff.
- Inventory Management : Conduct regular inventory checks and ensure that all necessary supplies and resources are available.
- Food Purchase and Inventory : Ensure the timely purchase and proper inventory of food supplies for the residential program.
- Service Provision : Ensure the overall provision of services meets the organization's standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Arizona DPS Fingerprint Clearance is required.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field preferred.
- If none of the above, must have minimum three years experience in dealing with behavioral health clients and / or co-occurring disorders.
- Must be able to understand and identify medications commonly prescribed for mental disorders.
