This position is based on-site in the Greater Seattle Area.

The Director, Compensation & Benefits here at Sono Bello , is responsible for driving and overseeing the design, implementation, and management of the company’s total rewards programs including, all aspects of compensation, medical and other benefits, and leave of absences.

This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to do the necessary hands-on work to implement.

You’ll work to create policies and procedures across multiple, distinct employee groups, to help achieve competitive compensation and benefits strategies globally, while shaping and leading reward strategies designed to attract, retain, engage, and motivate our employees.

This is a key role of the HR Leadership team, partnering closely with the SVP, HR and other executive leaders to ensure these programs align with the company objectives and strategies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Benefits Planning and Administration : Lead initiatives to design and manage various employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and additional benefits.
  • Compensation : Develop and implement a comprehensive compensation strategy, using market analysis and company's objectives and goals.

Oversee the creation and administration of salary structures, merit, incentives, bonus programs, and equity.

  • Strategic Workforce Planning : Define job architecture, position management, and workforce planning policies and guidelines.
  • Performance Management : Partner to align compensation and rewards with performance philosophy, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Compliance and Governance : Stay informed of laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits to ensure that the company's total rewards programs comply with legal requirements and industry standards.
  • Data Analysis : Utilize data and analytics, both internal and external, to evaluate the effectiveness of total rewards programs.
  • Planning : Oversee participation in annual salary and budget surveys, prepare and review action plans based on survey results and market trends.
  • Vendor Management : Manage relationships with external vendors, such as benefits providers and compensation consultants, negotiate contracts, and ensure that vendors deliver quality services.
  • Communication and Education : Develop change and communication strategies to effectively convey total rewards programs to employees.
  • Collaboration : Work with other HR functions, Finance, and Senior Leadership to align total rewards strategies with overall business goals.
  • Continuous Improvement : Regularly review and update total rewards programs to stay competitive and

meet the evolving needs of the organization and its workforce.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • In-depth understanding of relevant employment laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits, inclusive of compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic direction, navigate complex business environments and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to assess and interpret data related to compensation and benefits.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

  • Minimum of 10+ years’ experience in Human Resources, Compensation, Benefits, Finance, or related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Advanced knowledge of compensation, benefits, and design.
  • Proven project management skills with experience implementing projects across different functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive and complete projects.
  • Ability to understand key business drivers within a multi-state business model.
  • Certified Compensation Professional, Certified Global Remuneration Professional or CEBS designation preferred.
  • HRIS experience a plus

WORK ENVIORNMENT :

Monday Friday 8 : 30am 5 : 00pm Onsite 3-4 days in office required

COMPENSATION

At Sono Bello, we believe that our team members are the keys to our success. The compensation range for this role is $135,000 - $200,000 + Bonus, depending on experience.
