Clinical Educator - Respiratory Therapist

Description

The Clinical Educator (Respiratory) works under the general direction of the Clinical Education Manager to develop and implement educational plans.

Coordinates and maintains a program to meet staff education requirements. Provides consultation and serves as a role model, teacher and coach to increase expertise of staff.

Coordinates, implements and evaluates orientation, inservice and continuing education. Participates in applicable performance improvement and research activities.

Assists in the development of patient / staff educational programs and materials. Represents specialty area on appropriate committees and task forces.

Required Qualifications :

• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care
• Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire
• 4 years - Related specifically to Adult, Neonatal Intensive Respiratory Care and Pediatric Respiratory Care Procedures.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Bachelor's Degree in specialty, education, or allied health field
• Provider NRP Instructor - American Academy of Pediatrics upon hire
• Experience in staff development or teaching.
