Job Summary :
The Warehouse Manager plays a key role within the supply chain organization by directing and supervising petrochemical facilities warehouse staff;
including daily receiving and shipping of spare parts and consumable items; issuing of materials from the store fulfilling internal material requests and managing of stores inventory stock.
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Leads the warehouse operation in a manner that provides a safe work environment, efficiency and profitability, and trouble-free equipment.
- Innovates technology, work processes and warehouse operations to be more efficient for the business, including efficient and economical use of warehouse space.
- Demonstrates strong petrochemical plant parts knowledge, MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) sourcing and inventory management;
with a focus on customer service and inventory optimization.
- Oversees that materials are received, stored, shipped, and reported in accordance with established procedures.
- Monitors stores metrics and adjusts operations as appropriate.
- Troubleshoots stores Oracle and Maximo interface with IT Department.
- Manages the replenishment of stores with Purchasing Buyer assistance.
- Establishes and manages obsolescence review process for stores inventory.
- Manages the inventory add / change / delete approval process
- Interfaces with maintenance and turnaround teams to ensure performance requirements are being met.
- Advises internal customers and budget owners on cost effective alternatives for optimizing inventory and working capital.
- Analyzes inventory data including cost, turns and availability and make sound recommendations as to stocking levels.
- Multitasks with a focus on customer service and satisfaction.
Required Qualifications :
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in a warehouse environment which includes management experience and Procurement Operations.
- 5+ years experience with Petrochemical equipment and spare parts.
- Experienced in Vendor Strategic Sourcing, inventory management and financial controls.
- Ability to provide inventory stocking analysis with supporting documentation and management experience
Preferred Qualifications :
- Forklift Experience
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Oracle ERP systems experience (Procurement and Materials Management module)
- Proven leadership and supervising skills
- Inventory and warehouse management
- Proactive ability to problem solve using proven techniques
- Microsoft suite, including Excel, Word, Power Point
- Strong Logic, Reasoning, and Analytical skills
