General Description
Assist Case Managers in providing core services and basic needs support to newly arrived refugee clients. This involves coordination with other public and private organizations which provide services to refugees.
Conduct activities with refugee clients primarily within the Reception and Placement (R&P) period, which is identified as the initial thirty (30) days, but up to ninety (90) days after arrival.
Assist refugees in accessing appropriate providers, achieve economic self-sufficiency and reach their goals throughout the R&P period.
Position is on-call and work is done on an as-needed basis. There is not a guaranteed number of hours per week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following :

Provide core services as defined by the cooperative agreement and other refugee service contracts. These services include refugee orientation, social security application, health screening, school enrollment and more.
Duties will be defined and outlined by the Resettlement Coordinator in collaboration with the Case Management team, based on arrivals for the week, priorities identified by Resettlement Coordinator, and specific client needs.
Assist with reporting by providing a written, detailed account of services executed on a daily basis, to the case manager, for the purposes of accurately documenting all services and interactions with clients in an efficient and timely manner.
Communicate effectively and clearly with case manager any potential issues and / or concerns so that they may be addressed immediately.
Participate in supervision, program meetings and program trainings that address the service areas related to services being provided.
All other duties as assigned.

Driving is required.
Education and / or Experience, Ability
Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with refugees and / or diverse communities and the ability to speak Ukranian fluently.
Language Skills
Has the ability to communicate clearly. Have the ability to listen and perceive need, working with people from diverse backgrounds non-judgmentally.
Has the ability to effectively present and represent LSS-SW and the Division's needs to religious and community groups as well as others in the social services community.
Mathematical Skills
Understand basic math and calculations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, evaluate information, draw conclusions, and take appropriate action based on this information.
Have the confidence to make decisions when appropriate and when to solicit guidance.

- Maintain valid AZ Driver License and reliable transportation.
