Field Supervisor

Primary Purpose

Provide on-site supervision of equipment and personnel in a safe and conscientious manner providing value and customer satisfaction to internal and external customers.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Supervises the site crew to ensure that work is performed according to consultant and client specifications; operates each job in the most efficient manner possible.
• Oversees the safety of the crew to ensure that workers are wearing proper safety equipment and utilizing safe work practices.
• Keeps client informed of job progress; answers client on-site questions and maintains good client relations.
• Completes daily paperwork to track labor, equipment, supplies and materials used for billing purposes and other associated paperwork;

keeps project manager apprised of changes in usage from contract.

• Fills in for any crew position as needed.
• Supervises emergency response crews when needed.
• May participate in hiring, performance evaluation, disciplining, promotion and termination decisions.

Education : High School Diploma or its equivalent required.

Experience : Minimum three years hazardous waste field experience required.

Knowledge and Abilities : This is a safety sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function.

Must meet DOT requirements. Good knowledge and understanding of various federal, state and local industry-related regulations.

Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
