Position Summary

This position is responsible for supervising the daily operations of the Digital Quality Assurance team as well as participate in quality assurance and testing of Toyota's digital customer experience platforms.

Responsibilities will include assigning testing tasks to team members, training team members on tools and methodologies to ensure that software tests align with the acceptance criteria, coding standards and comply with quality standards.

The Digital QA Supervisor evaluates test scripts, test coverage and test results against the expected behavior. Additionally the Digital QA Supervisor recommends improvements to test scripts, test plans, test strategy and test policy documents.

The Digital QA Supervisor participates in product planning ceremonies, backlog grooming and user story elaboration sessions with the product team to gain contextual knowledge and identify potential defects in the initial designs.

This position should possess advanced knowledge with :

  • The Internet of Things (IoT)
  • Harnessing big data
  • Relational Databases and query tools

The Digital QA Supervisor reports to the Digital QA Manager and together are responsible for mentoring the Digital QA Analysts, conducting mid-year and end of year reviews.

The Digital QA Supervisor should be a subject matter expert on the TMH digital platforms, software testing lifecycle and should have an above average understanding of the testing maturity model.

Essential Position Duties

Review and draft test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test reports across digital platforms

Support the execution of test plans and test cases

Record logs of test cases and provide actionable feedback to the product owner and development teams as necessary

Review and update corporate Quality Assurance policies, standards, and governance

Review user stories to ensure acceptance criteria, assumptions, and requirements are understood and testable

Participate in ranking defects and prioritizing defect / bug fixes

Participate in final go / no-go decision prior to elevating code to production environments

Administers constant improvement in testing processes, deliverables, and reporting

Actively participate in defect triage

Participate and drive contract reviews as assigned

Assist the Digital QA Manager in departmental budgeting activities

Practice fiduciary responsibility

  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
  • Additional duties as assigned

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or Higher

4+ Years of Related Professional Experience

Quality Assurance Certification is a plus (ex. CSTE, CSQA, CAST, etc.)

Azure DevOps, Azure Test Plans, JIRA, Zephyr Squad

Familiar with Automated Testing (Selenium, Gherkin, Cucumber preferred)

Primary environment : ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
