The Pastry Chef D'Partie will be responsible for creating, planning and supervising the production of top quality pastries, desserts and baked goods to enhance the quality of he guest's experience.
Responsible for daily production and supervision of the pastry shop hourly staff; creating and recommending menu changes to the Executive Chef;
maintains good working relationships within other work areas; meets with meeting planners and social catering event coordinators to develop personalized dessert products.
Work Schedule Needed : Open Availability required, including evenings and weekends.
The position is designated for our Pastry Department.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate.
- Certification of culinary training or apprenticeship.
- 5 years' experience as a line cook in a 4 star or higher rate restaurant.
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.
- Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
- Ability to work well under pressure of meeting production schedules and timelines for guests' orders.
- Ability to operate, clean and maintain all equipment required in job functions and identify when it is broken or in poor repair.
