Pre-Construction Coordinator Job Summary
Pre-Construction Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in buyout, vendor qualification and award of all critical contracts.
- Coordinates the development of the scopes of work for subcontractors prior to proposal submittal and work with pre-construction efforts to ensure scopes of work are accurate based on architectural and civil drawings.
Completes tasks on time and consistent with scheduling constraints set forth by the project schedule.
Coordinates with development of the overall construction schedule and completion dates of all projects, while seeking input during the scheduling exercises from project specific staff prior to and throughout the project(s).
Prepares management reporting.
Coordinates with the development of the overall project budget and provides value engineering opportunities throughout preconstruction phases of the project(s);
provides continual review of the projects’ budget to ensure budget accuracy and to identify cost saving opportunities.
- Assists on-site personnel with getting appropriate utility providers for project.
- Assist project staff with the evaluation and development of solutions to issues and questions from subcontractors and other workers on-site.
Provides support for all RFI submittals from project staff.
- Verifies scopes of work to meet Earth Craft requirements, including assisting with communication on project-specific Earth Craft requirements.
- Attends all company meetings representing current projects, including monthly meetings at various locations with executives or owners, as needed.
- Other related duties as determined from time to time and communicated to the employee.
Pre-Construction Coordinator Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field required
- New graduates with related degree, relevant and leverageable internships and GPA >
3.3 will be considered
- Otherwise 1-3 years in the construction industry, preferably stick-built / vertical construction
- Pre-construction experience preferred.
- Ability to read and understand construction plans and interpreting building blueprints
- Knowledge of material take-off formulas and methods
- Knowledge in the following software preferred : Microsoft Office SuiteMicrosoft Project BluebeamActive TakeoffProcoreSage / Timberline
- Ability to operate independently and complete assigned tasks with deadlines.
