Network Engineer - Radio (Bellevue, WA)

Network Engineer Radio (Bellevue, WA) We are looking for a Network Engineer for our enterprise communications and service client.

Resources need to lead and manage technical activities for radio network design, implementation, and optimization projects.

This is an 18-month contract role initially, 40 hours / week, in Bellevue, WA. This is a W2 employee of Stage 4 Solutions.

Health benefits and 401K are offered. RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Demonstrate strong leadership skills by overseeing work, communicating effectively with the team, project managers, and customers, and providing technical organization and oversight
• Utilize expertise in working with different services including 5G NR, Massive MIMO, mmWave, LAA, 4G LTE, IOT, CBRS, and multi-vendor environments
• Analyze layer 3 messages for 4G and 5G, perform event analysis, and address accessibility, retain ability, and handover success rate issues
• Utilize planning tools such as Planet EV and Atoll, understand link budgets, and create new projects in planning tools
• Provide recommendations to improve network design, conduct model tuning, and identify add-on sales opportunities
• Make recommendations for parameter changes and feature activations to enhance system performance based on drive test data
• Use optimization tools such as TEMS investigation, Actix, Agilent, and R&S to tune loaded networks and analyze drive data and performance statistics
• Implement and experiment on RAN features relative to traffic analysis and optimize network capacity and handovers
• Operate Ericsson ENM and optimization tools, understand KPIs, and make recommendations to improve network performance
• Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office, communicate effectively, and coordinate activities with various Ericsson departments, divisions, and companies
• Stay updated with the necessary qualifications and certifications required for the work and attend mandatory training. QUALIFICATIONS :
• Minimum seven (7) years of experience with BSEE / BSCS or applicable experience
• Recent experience in radio network design, implementation, and / or tuning / optimization systems
• Leadership experience for four+ projects with technical oversight in large-scale projects
• Extensive experience in planning tools, link budgets, and optimization tools
• Understanding of 4G and 5G layer 3 messaging, Monte Carlos Analysis, and IRAT procedures
• Knowledge of LTE / 5G optimization, Ericsson ENM, and RAN features
