About the Position The Assistant Athletic Trainer reports to the Head Athletic Trainer and shares the responsibility of providing athletic training services to Haverford’s varsity athletic teams.
Additional administrative duties will be assigned.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide medical coverage at assigned competitions and practices
Provide evaluation and treatment of athletic injuries
Make appropriate triage and referral decisions regarding athletic injuries
Provide pre-event and pre-practice preparations and treatments
Identify and manage concussions according to department protocols
Assist in operations of the athletic training facility, includes, but not limited to, the care and maintenance of equipment, appearance, and appropriate record keeping
Maintain required certifications to practice as a certified athletic trainer within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
Keep open communication with the Head Athletic Trainer, Director of Athletics, Health Services staff, Athletic Department staff, Campus Safety, and colleagues within the Dean’s Division Attend monthly College Administrative Professional Staff meetings, Athletic Staff meetings as scheduled, weekly Athletic Logistic meetings, and other special college meetings as announced
Adhere to all regulations of the College, Centennial Conference, and NCAA Other duties as assigned : Such assignments will be made by and discussed with the Head Athletic Trainer

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in athletic training or related field
- National Athletic Trainer’s Association Board of Certification (NATABOC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
