Primary Purpose
As an Inside Sales Specialist on our team, you will support Emmes Group's business by researching and identifying accounts that fit the ideal customer profile for our offerings.
Through outreach efforts, you will engage prospects to identify active buying opportunities and pre-qualify before handing it over to our sales teams.
This is an early in career role with a dedicated growth path and the training to be a great life sciences and technology sales professional.
We are looking for selfstarters with a passion for life sciences, technology, and people. This role is pivotal in driving lead generation, optimizing performance, and supporting overall sales success.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sales development, marketing, a strong understanding of lead eneration strategies, and exceptional communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Implement processes to efficiently identify leads for new business opportunities and develop and execute capture strategy that align with Emmes' capabilities and goals
- Identify customer stakeholders, build relationships, and gather customer insights
- Follow up on leads generated from business intelligence sources and marketing campaigns
- Establish, nurtures, and grows client relationships to achieve objectives and quota
- Identify the right "win strategy" for individual opportunities and client partnerships
- Lead research efforts to determine technical requirement and customer concerns as part of the qualification process, connecting with potential clients and contracting officers
- Develop detailed understanding of our operations including capabilities, capacity, and timelines
- Participate in internal sales meetings, supporting sales reps and senior sales reps
- Support Government engagement and selling efforts across all business units
- Evaluate proposals and quotations for customers and ensures both client and company requirements are met, and participates in proposal scope development
- Use CRM to manage and document communications and client information
- Help request, negotiate, and guide execution of non-disclosure agreements (NDA)
- Keep up to date on the latest industry trends as well as competitive posture of the company
- Prepare activity and forecast reports
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in scientific or business field preferred
- 2-3 years of sales and business development experience in CRO services, biomedical informatics, data sciences, or eClinical software
- Proficiency with productivity tools e.g., Microsoft Office, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Hubspot
- Experience with account and contact research tools e.g., Citeline, Cognism, Zymewire, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, clinicaltrials.gov
- Demonstrated ability to acquire clients, as well as manage difficult situations
- Strong working relationships with internal operations, scientific, and business staff
- Effective presentation, documentation, and interpersonal / teamwork skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and provide a high level of responsiveness and timely service on a day-to-day basis as well as balancing the unexpected needs of the company and clients as they arise
- Demonstrated organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task
- Strong written, verbal, and problem-solving skills
