The Department of Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine, Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery is looking for a qualified, full-time fellowship trained Colorectal Surgeon, who is interested in Robotic and laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery training and research with a focus on minimally invasive surgery, including robotic and laparoscopic surgery and surgical outcomes and quality research.
An appointment at the level of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor is anticipated, depending upon the candidate’s qualifications.
Preference for this position will be given to those who have already had high quality academic output.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES :
- Serve as an attending colorectal surgeon for the Division of Grady Surgery and Colorectal Surgery within the Department of Surgery with an active inpatient and outpatient practice focused on colorectal surgery at Grady Memorial Hospital and call coverage across Emory Healthcare.
- Participate in the clinical education, training and development of residents through practice-site rotation activities and conferences.
- Participate in the development of unique and collaborative research specific to surgical oncology.
- Participate in the administrative operations of the Clinic sub-section / section or University division based upon assignments determined by the Section Chief and / or Sub-section Chief.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS :
- Board Certified General Surgeon with post-graduate training in colorectal surgery
- A valid, unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia
- A controlled Substance Registration Drug Enforcement Administration Certificate
- Must sign the Non-Compete Agreement of The Emory Clinic, Inc. as a condition of employment
