Job Description

About the team

At U.S. Bank, the People Technology team is responsible for bringing exciting changes to improve the employee experience that enable business success across various U.

S. Bank business lines. We are looking to expand our Varicent Incentives technical team by adding someone that has experience configuring in the Varicent application or someone with the business and functional understanding for incentive compensation but wants to move into a technical role.

Responsibilities

  • Gather business requirements and convert to technical designs.
  • Work alongside the product team while being responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining Varicent configuration, under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Plan and execute appropriate unit testing (e.g. test plans, test cases, and test scripts) to comprehensively test assigned enhancements to business rules.
  • Build Varicent Presenter Adaptive reports according to requirements.
  • Work to troubleshoot production issues.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in quantitative area (Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or other related field).
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in area of specialization with strong project / team leadership skills.

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Proven ability and initiative to learn and research new concepts, ideas, and technologies quickly.
  • Strong systems / process orientation with demonstrated analytical thinking, organization skills and problem solving skills.
  • Relational database design and concepts .
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Time management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Background in Finance, Sales Compensation, or Engineering / Programming .
  • Minimum of 3 years of functional business experience or enterprise incentive compensation applications ( design, development / programming, testing, and implementation ).
  • Programming knowledge of PostgreSQL, Python and JavaScript a plus.

Location Expectations

The role offers a hybrid / flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role.

In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).

Pay Range : $90,100.00 - $106,000.00 - $116,600.00.
