Robert Half is partnering with a family owned business in the agriculture industry that has been around for the last 50 years.
This role will directly support the CFO on a lot of project-based work he is implementing to automate processes and develop efficiencies to help the business make grounded financial decision.
There are two other Controllers that handle the day-to-day accounting operations, so this role will be highly project based.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Manage cash flow and financial risk.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategic financial plans.
- Drive process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead ERP / software implementation initiatives and optimize system capabilities.
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Take initiative and demonstrate a proactive approach to completing tasks and projects.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team.
- Participate in M& A activities and support integration efforts as needed.
