Venteon Finance is hiring an ACCOUNTANT t o provide immediate support in Metro Detroit, MI. You will provide support by managing the month end close process, generating and analyzing financial data and preparing forecasts and budgets
POSITION TYPE : Full Time. In office. Open ended contract. PAY : $65,000- $85,000 annually based on education / skills.
Requirements of the Accountant
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business desired.
5 or more years of work experience in Accounting for a mid or large sized company.
Good analysis and reconciliation skills. Month end close and general ledger skills required.
Technical skills with Excel and an ERP system (such as Sage, MS Dynamics, SAP etc.).
Organized and detail oriented. Self-Starter. Able to analyze and resolve accounting differences.
Duties of the Accountant
Process daily, monthly and quarterly accounting activities in an accurate, timely manner.
Review AR and AP transactions for accuracy. Execute weekly Accounts Payable payment run.
Provide support for escalated transactional accounting issues.
Tie out of month end AP and AR Account balances.
Monitor cash flow and collections activity.
Prepare and analyze financial reports, forecasts and budgets.
Assist in the merging of new companies and locations as needed.
Take part in internal and external audits.
