Join our team as a Certified Hand Therapist at our out-patient clinic at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas. You will partner with other experienced Certified Hand Therapists to build strong relationships with both our patients and physicians and see a variety of cases from post-surgical to orthopedic or neurological.

Our approach is patient-centered, and the ideal candidate is eager to learn and ready to jump into this multi-disciplinary environment and make a difference.

The Certified Hand Therapist is a Physical or Occupational Therapist who evaluates and assesses patient function or ability, including establishing a plan of care according to standards of practice.

Performs reassessment relative to initial evaluation and modifies plan of care as needed with outpatient hand therapy patients.

Demonstrates clinical skills with upper extremity splinting and hand therapy treatment interventions.

$4K New Hire Incentive and $3K relocation bonus if moving from 100+ miles.

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met

• Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
• Must remain in original department / specialty
• Must remain in original Job Title
• Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Position Pay Range : $50.20-$74.47 / hour

In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Act, Scripps Health posts the pay range for all jobs. Please note that actual pay will be determined based on relevant experience and internal equity within the pay range.

Please also note this range is applicable for employees who reside in California only. A geographical pay differential may be applied for remote employees who reside out of state.

Required :

• Graduate of accredited school of Occupational Therapy
• Current Occupational Therapy license in State of California
• Current BLS from the American Heart Association
• Certification from the Hand Therapy Certification Commission

Preferred :

• 2 years CHT experience
