Overview

Purpose Statement / Position Summary : Responsible for leading quality / performance improvement initiatives impacting core clinical processes and patient care functions for the Care Network and Ambulatory departments.

Works collaboratively with managers and physicians to identify and enhance clinical issues that produce quantitative and qualitative results for internal and external customers.

Performance outcome deliverables include quality, safety, and process improvement. Provides support for Quality Improvement's quality and safety projects and initiatives and supports the hospital's benchmarking efforts.

Performs day-to-day Quality Improvement activities by hospital policy and procedures, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.

Supports the Quality and Safety Dashboard and develops audit tools. Presents to various groups such as Medical Staff Committees, subcommittees of the Board of Trustees, and Patient Care Services Committees.

Minimum Qualifications / Work Experience : 2+ years of related work experience.

  • Combination of work experience in a hospital and data analysis experience.
  • Experience working with physicians and other health care professionals.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office platforms, especially excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with quality improvement methodology (PDSA, DMAIC, cause and effect, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education / Licensure / Certification : Bachelor's degree in health care or related field required.

Preferred : Master's Degree.

Schedule : Monday-Friday; 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm *Remote (One monthly in-person day)

Pay Scale Information

$64,688.00-$116,563.00

CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate's starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry.

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description.
