Job Title : MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN
Reports to : ENGINEERING TEAM LEADER
Job Summary : This role will be primarily responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing Production equipment. The technician will develop and implement the maintenance programs necessary to ensure the short-term and long-term reliability of all equipment, as well as lead the effort to optimize maintenance costs, maximize equipment availability and reduce unsafe conditions.
Job Responsibilities :
- Reading CAD drawings to determine the placement of equipment
- Install or assist in the installation of new equipment, including proper layout and alignment.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and / or replace mechanical components such as motors, reducers, drive chains, hydraulic and / or pneumatic components in manufacturing equipment.
- Perform basic welding duties, fabricating fixtures, jigs, guarding, etc. as needed.
- Comply with company and customer regulations and policies.
- Maintain parts inventory.
Qualifications And Experience :
- 3+ year’s prior Mechanical experience.
- Minimum High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Candidate MUST be a self-motivated and detail-oriented person with high drive to be able to adapt to changing situations daily.
- Must be experienced in welding and fabrication techniques.
- Basic understanding of single or three phase electrical.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong interpersonal, and planning.
- Organizational skills a must.
