A hospital in lower Westchester, NY is seeking a full-time Director of Professional Development Education and Recruitment (Nurse Educator).
Salary is $140-145K + Benefits.
Responsibilities :
The Nurse Educator will be responsible for :
- Developing, leading, and evaluating nursing professional development programs.
- Designing orientation and onboarding programs for nursing staff.
- Collaborating with nursing leadership to advance the nursing strategic plan.
- Implementing Nursing Professional Development (NPD) standards such as competency management, role development, and education.
- Overseeing nurse recruitment and retention strategies, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
- Serving as a liaison for nursing schools regarding clinical placement.
Qualifications :
- Experience : Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care setting.
- Education : BSN required; Master's Degree in Nursing Education preferred.
- Certifications : Certification in Nursing Professional Development or relevant specialty is preferred.
- License : NY State Nursing License
