We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our global polyurethane foam manufacturing team in Greensboro, NC.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive innovation and efficiency in our production processes while working for a leading company in the polymer industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize polyurethane foam manufacturing processes
- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality
- Create and modify foam formulations to meet customer specifications
- Design and integrate new machinery and process systems
- Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield and scrap rates
- Write and update standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Train and mentor production personnel on new processes and equipment
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements and company quality policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of process engineering experience in polymer or polyurethane manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, and fluid dynamics
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting using Microsoft Excel
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and 5S principles
- Experience with process control systems and automation (preferred)
