We are seeking an experienced and passionate Billing Specialist to join our dynamic team. This is a hybrid role, allowing you to enjoy the flexibility of working from home while also benefiting from regular in-office collaboration.

You will be a part of a fast-paced, innovative environment where your contributions will directly impact the financial health and success of our company.

Responsibilities :

As a Billing Specialist, your primary tasks will include :

1. Managing the billing process, ensuring all invoices are issued accurately and promptly.

2. Conducting complex reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies.

3. Utilizing advanced Excel skills to create, update, and maintain financial spreadsheets and reports.

4. Overseeing freight billing, ensuring all costs are captured, and invoices are accurate.

5. Collaborating with other departments to ensure billing accuracy and to resolve any issues.

6. Assisting in the development and implementation of billing policies and procedures.

7. Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

8. Providing excellent customer service, addressing client inquiries, and resolving billing issues.

9. Assisting with month-end closing activities.

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role, you will need :

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in billing, with a focus on freight billing.

2. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and other advanced functions.

3. Demonstrated experience with reconciliations.

4. A strong understanding of billing procedures and best practices.

5. Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve complex billing issues.

7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

8. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

9. A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
