Job Summary

As a Technical Operations Manager with a focus on vendor management, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all technical processes and infrastructure related to our third-party vendor.

This role is pivotal in ensuring that vendor services align with our company’s standards and objectives and that all systems are functioning efficiently and effectively.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage IT vendor relationships related to Technical Operations, including contract negotiation, performance evaluation, and contract renewal
  • Monitor system performance and ensure maximum uptime by proactively identifying and resolving issues along with our third-party vendor
  • Develop and implement best practices for incident management and problem resolution
  • Develop and maintain service level agreements (SLAs) with internal customers and external vendors.
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement changes and improvements to production systems
  • Facilitate communication between vendors and internal stakeholders on system issues and resolution progress
  • Ensure vendor compliance with IT governance and security policies and procedures
  • Continuously assess and improve IT processes to optimize efficiency and productivity
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of vendor performance and service quality

Job Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in production support or technical operations
  • Strong technical skills in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
  • Experience with incident management tools and methodologies
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities
  • Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks
  • Strong vendor management skills, including contract negotiation, performance evaluation, and relationship management.
