Rotational Assignments : Dive into different facets of engineering, from New Product Development to Current Product Development and more.

Training : Our comprehensive training program covers technical skills, leadership development, and immersion into our products and services.

You’ll attend workshops, participate in case studies, and engage with leaders.

Coaching : You won’t be on this journey alone. Throughout the program, you’ll receive coaching and mentoring from associates throughout Engineering who will guide you, provide feedback, and help you navigate your career.

We are looking for someone who :

Leverages creative problem solving to design innovative, cost effective, and functional faucet products that delight customers and represent the Kohler brand.

Brings a positive approach and collaborates with cross functional teams including marketing, program management, industrial design, and manufacturing operations to deliver products on time, within budget.

Is passionate about innovation and consistently searches for opportunities to create transformative products.

Utilizes broad range material and manufacturing process knowledge including casting, forging, stamping, injection molding, welding, tube bending, hydroforming, etc.

Contributes to and leverages a diverse and global engineering organization.

Specific Responsibilities

Create

Partner with Product Marketing and Industrial Design to develop a product specification using consumer research, market data, and sales feedback.

Study competitive products and understand current warranty metrics to benchmark against new product designs.

Provide high-level feasibility analysis on initial product concepts.

Refine

Develop and refine concepts using 3D modeling software (Creo), FEA, and CFD.

Leverage our world class on-site prototyping and test lab capabilities to create physical prototypes to validate product features.

Utilize tools such as DFMEA and engineering design critiques to identify and eliminate or mitigate high risk failure modes.

Work with our internal manufacturing team as well as suppliers to balance cost, performance, quality, and project timing.

Implement

Perform engineering calculations, tolerance stacks, and develop detailed technical drawings, incorporating engineering standards and GD&T.

Optimize design using DfM (Design for Manufacturing) principles to ensure reliable, stable, and efficient mass production.

Ensure regulatory compliance through careful product verification test planning.

Support manufacturing ramp up by providing on-site feedback during pre-production builds.

Skills / Requirements

Must have obtained a bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited institution with a major in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical preferred) or related technical discipline no later than June 2025.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on an on-going basis without company sponsorship.

The salary range for this position is $76,050 - $96,050. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
