An established law firm is seeking an Entry-Level Immigration Attorney in San Jose, CA, to join its team. This role offers an opportunity to handle a range of immigration cases, represent clients in removal proceedings, and work closely with a collaborative legal team.
The position is ideal for a dedicated attorney eager to gain hands-on experience in immigration law and contribute to impactful client advocacy.

Duties :
- Explain immigration processes and present strategic solutions to clients
- Represent detained and non-detained clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals
- Manage an active caseload, including client communications
- Conduct intake and interviews with detained individuals at detention centers
- Prepare and review various immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions
- Adjust and finalize immigration packets as required
- Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutors, and community-based organizations on immigration law updates
- Conduct consultations to develop individualized immigration strategies for clients
- Prepare clients and witnesses for court and USCIS testimony
- Provide legal analysis to determine potential case benefits
- Draft and submit legal briefs for a variety of immigration cases
Requirements :
- Demonstrated interest in immigration law, such as participation in law school clinics, volunteer work, or internships
- Ability to effectively manage caseload and move cases forward
- Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
- Experience with case management software (preferred)
Education :
Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school
Certifications :
Active bar admission (recent law graduates awaiting admission will also be considered)
Skills :
- Proficiency in immigration law principles and case management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred but not required)
- High attention to detail and organizational ability
